Ten things meme

pbrayWatching this meme pop up on my friends list has served to convince me that other people have led more interesting lives than I have. But for what it's worth, here goes.
Ten things I've done that most people on my friends list have not:
Biked over 120 miles in a single day. More than once.
Spent a semester inventorying punctuation marks in The Deerslayer and The Last of the Mohicans.
Broken my foot in a tae kwon do match. I went on to finish my bout.
Had a fortune teller refuse to read my palm and refund my money.
Shilled at a Vegas tradeshow for a product I had invented.
Attempted to launch a religious movement.
Steered a windjammer.
First time I was on an airplane I jumped out. (First trip was also first time skydiving. As was second, and third...).
Attended a pig roast held in my honor.
Allowed a Special Forces team to use my apartment as a safe house.

Date: 2005-02-22 12:07 am (UTC)And you're going to have to replace #7...I steered a Windjammer, too. As you well know, since we were next to each other at the time. However (nyah-nyah), I steered it SOLO, with no crew to assist, due to that whole "there's water flooding the bottom level" "does it smell bad?" "like raw sewage" "Aaaaaaaaaahhhhh!" thing that drew the crew members away from the deck.
And I think this is a very interesting list. How many other people had their apartments used as Special Forces safe houses? Or won Tae Kwon Do matches with a broken foot?
