If the internal network is fried so you can't get to any of the applications, databases or servers that you need to do your job, the correct answer is to knock off early and head to the Lost Dog for tapas, right? Happy hour starts at 3, so it's like they're waiting there just for us.

Alas I was forced to continue working, despite the absence of the computer network. Tapas with a fry!friend would have been way better.

Precisely! And my favorite watering hole even has wi-fi, so it would theoretically have been possible for me to resume my normal work if the systems ever came back....
