Writer's Block: All About My Mother

[Error: unknown template qotd]I'm going to fudge a bit as well and pick Margie Adams from this season's edition of The Amazing Race. She's a real person, which is why this is fudging, but she was both an awesome competitor and a great Mom.

If you didn't catch any of the show, Margie's race partner was her 20-something son Luke, who was the first deaf contestant on the race. Margie not only had to hold up her end of the racing but since Luke doesn't read lips she had to translate for him. She was tough as nails and earned the nickname "the Bionic Woman."

She was great, although I was glad that Tammy and Victor won, because I adored them. But Margie and Luke would have made great winners, too.
