A trip to Worldcon is always a busy time, especially if you're here as a pro, which means programming, readings and the required mingling.

Add in to that wanting to spend time with my sister Sheila who lives in Denver, and whom I haven't seen for several years.

Now add in to that mix having to work for the day job-- originally I'd thought it would be <1 hour a day, which was manageable, but it turned into 3-4 hours a day.

Then throw in playing hooky from the con so [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne could show me her new house...

Is it any wonder that I'm a bit frazzled? There are people that I know are here that I haven't seen, or when I did see them, it was only for long enough to say "Hello" and then apologize because I needed to run off for one of my numerous commitments.

That bit of whining aside, I'm having a great time at the con. Yesterday Sheila was brave enough to come along, and her first con experience was watching me moderate the Torchwood panel-- I started off by asking everyone in the room to say "Hi Sheila!" and explained that she was there as a mundane, observing our customs :-)

Now must dash off to run the final database queries for the day job, then looking forward to more fun before I must hop on a plane on Sunday.

Cute. Small. I'll post pics when I get back-- it's 1400 square feet (3 bedroom, 2.5 baths). It's fairly recently built, with an open floor plan downstairs, with kitchen flowing into dining area flowing into living room. No yard to speak of, but across the street from a nice park.
