Romantic Times magazine has given The Final Sacrifice a four star review. Alas only the rating is up on their website--I'll have to wait until the July issue is in stores later this month to read the actual review.

Bantam's publicity department has done an excellent job of getting this book out for review. RT reviewed DEVLIN'S LUCK, the first of my fantasy novels, but hadn't reviewed any of my subsequent titles, so I'm quite pleased.

And a reminder that the book raffle closes at midnight on Friday. Instructions for entering are here.

Congratulations!

And as proof that RT now reviews books in other genres on those genres' merits, not by applying a romance filter... isn't this the book with the "love quadrangle"? :-)

Well it isn't always true love, but there's certainly a lust quadrangle going on. Not to mention that any relationship involving Josan/Lucius will require timesharing. And possibly diagrams.

Are you implying that a love quadrangle can't be romantic? ;^)

Well perhaps if someone else was writing it :-)

Well pre-reading qualifies you as an official minion. I have a hard time reading reviews, and usually have someone prescreen them, especially if there's no star rating attached.

Glad to hear this one is positive.

Reviews are hard, because the parts were it says things like, "Bray skillfully handles..." can be so totally eclipsed by one, "maudlin," or "trite." Not that I've had much of my stuff reviewed.

It's the backhanded compliment style-- "It was so smart of you to choose vertical stripes, they'd make you look tall if you weren't so short to begin with."
