Running away from home, part 2
May. 17th, 2009 10:25 pmToday was cool and rainy which meant a leisurely brunch followed by wandering through the shops & galleries. I purchased a green silk-screened t-shirt with a scene of a knight in armor (possibly a medieval woodcut meant to represent Death), a lovely small print (larger artwork is no longer considered due to lack of wall space), and an organic/eco-friendly chewable lizard for a friend's new puppy.
Much debate ensued over a t-shirt that might have been good for a friend, but was too expensive to buy as an experiment, followed by time spent sampling local beers and people watching.
Night has fallen and I can hear the fog bells--funny how much they sound like reminders that the cares of the real world are still out there, waiting for us to return from our brief escape.
