You know you've lost it
Feb. 26th, 2009 08:46 pmWhen you are compiling a calendar spreadsheet to map out vacation possibilities.
This year I need to schedule around: Balticon, teaching at Odyssey,
jennifer_dunne's wedding, plus the pesky day job which requires me to work certain days each month. Then toss into the mix the fact that my cycling partner Stacey is an accountant who has her own list of days each month when she can't take vacation, and the tall stack of catalogs and trips becomes whittled down fairly quickly.
And, well, we've been doing this for a while, and have already hit many of the most popular spots for bike tours including: Middlebury (VT), Nantucket, Coastal Maine, Finger Lakes (NY), Nova Scotia, Quebec Province, Blue Ridge Mountains (NC), Bryce/Zion (UT), Crater Lake (OR), Canadian Rockies, and last year's Shenandoah (VA). Plus we want to save the really flat parts for when we get old.
Still I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out.
