It's not much of a plan, but it's ours
Jul. 22nd, 2008 10:18 amTomorrow my friend Tom and I are going down to New York city for the day. Usually our trips have very specific agendas, but this time we're going to just go with the flow. So far, we know:
- Which bus we are leaving on (there hasn't been passenger train service here for 40 years).
- Where we're having dinner (St Andrew's, where we're planning on sampling some of the 200+ scotches on their menu.)
- When we need to catch the bus back so I can get home in time to catch a few hours of sleep before I need to head in to work. (Tom's on vacation this week, lucky bum.)
Other than that, we have a map and a tentative list of ideas. If it's pouring rain, we may go to TKTS to see if we can get tickets for a show. We may hit the South Street Seaport, Tom's in charge of checking out museum exhibits to see if there are any must-see's, and there was briefly talk of a ferry going... somewhere.
Should be fun.
