And she's back
Nov. 25th, 2007 07:52 pmBack home after spending Thanksgiving with
jennifer_dunne's family, whom I've taken over as my own since my relatives have left the east coast. Jennifer and I cooked the Thansgiving meal, a very traditional menu as requested by the parentals. Everything came out well, and there was sufficient turnip to keep me happy.
I managed to write while away, both on the new book and a five page paper for my Criminal Investigations class. Went outlet shopping Saturday--others bought clothes but my most expensive purchase was two forensics books (Yes, I know I'm addicted) and a glass of cabernet at the Northshire Bookstore. There's something infinitely civilized about a bookstore where the cafe offers wine & beer in addition to the more traditional coffees, teas and snacks.
Now it's time to look around to try to catch up on the friends list, then figure out what I need to do to get ready for the day job tomorrow. It's going to be a busy Monday and the rest of the week will likely be nearly as crazed.
