And she's back!
Aug. 19th, 2007 04:07 pmI'm back home after the bike trip, and (nearly) 10 days without internet access. Had a fabulous time biking in Oregon, with the highlight being our days at Crater Lake. But getting there and back was the least fun part of the trip (Upstate New York-->Connecticut-->Portland, Oregon-->Eugene, Oregon), and then the reverse at the end of the trip.
I now possess a suitcase filled with 41 lbs of dirty laundry and assorted bike gear, plus a camera full of photographs which I need to upload.
It was a large group (19 guests plus 3 guides), but we all had fun together.
Proving that it's a small world, four of our fellow bikers on this trip had been on a previous trip with Stacey and I four years ago--the boys have been taking bike trips together for over 20 years, while Stacey and I are working on our 11th, so we have a while to catch up to them. Another of the bikers was
suricattus's uncle Larry, who also works in the publishing industry.
I'll post a longer report later, and will try to catch up with the friendslist, but after 10 days, if there's anything I need to know you should probably drop me a pointer to it.
Later!
