Another turkey, another shopping trip
Nov. 25th, 2006 10:30 amTraditional Thanksgiving weekend continues. Thursday was turkey day-- ably prepared by myself and
jennifer_dunne, followed by the family sitting down to watch football. I was raised in a baseball only family, so I've never really understood football, nor cared enough to try. Still others enjoyed it, so all was good. We'd cleverly planned an early dinner so we could eat a late supper of turkey leftovers--two turkey meals in the same day is as good as life gets.
Yesterday was the trip to the outlet malls--I'm not fond of shopping, but during the six hour trip did manage to find a a knit shirt and several pairs of socks.
Last night we saw the new Bond film-- as others have reported there's a decent ninety minute movie stuck in the bloated 2hr 15 minutes run time.
Today we're going to run errands and then put up the Christmas lights. Since my family has migrated out of the northeast, it's nice to be able to borrow someone else's family for the traditional activities.
Staying with friends with very limited internet access (dialup modem on family computer), so haven't had a chance to catch up with all the news. Hope everyone had a great holiday and enjoys the rest of the holiday weekend.
