Glorious First of June
Jun. 1st, 2006 09:28 amYou know you've read too much naval fiction when my first thought upon changing the calendar was "Hey, it's the Glorious First of June."
Am I obsessed? Hmm.
Books read and enjoyed over the last quarter century: Alexander Kent, check. C.S. Forester, check. Patrick O'Brian, check. FWIW, Alexander Kent is my favorite of the three.
Two shelves of naval reference books, including such gems as Frigates, Life in Nelson's Navy, Life Before the Mast, The Young Sea Officer's Sheet Anchor, check.
Reading: Finished Naomi Novik's His Majesty's Dragon and started Throne of Jade.
