Or in this case, to drive to her house and give her my remote control because a) her cat just destroyed hers and b) she's still flat on her back, so the TV is a lifeline.
Which leaves me with changing channels by hand, one click at a time, until I can get to the cable store and make the exchange.
As you may have guessed from the above,
jennifer_dunne is recovering slowly and still housebound. Yesterday I took her out for lunch at the Cybercafe where she could recline on a couch and dine in the Roman fashion. She still can't sit upright for any length of time, but the walls were starting to close in on her, so this was a good compromise. The rest of the patrons at the Cybercafe took this in stride--they're really a very mellow bunch.
And now another weekend has flown by, and the work week is looming, complete with an early start tomorrow. Blech! Mondays are bad enough, but early Mondays, well, as in the immortal lyrics from Avenue Q "Sucka, sucka, sucka, sucka, suck."
