Some days it's good to be in Upstate New York

Writing: 1,506 words today. Finally ended the chapter that wouldn't end. Realized I need to sketch out the next few chapters to make sure I'm staying on track, and properly alternating the action between the empire and the federation.

Yes, I have an empire and a federation. I feel so Star Trek.

In other random news, keeping an eye on the Nor'easter and feeling grateful that I'm far enough inland that we're expecting only scattered flurries. Also grateful that Boskone isn't this weekend--I still have vivid memories of Arisia 2005 and the lovely drive home after the blizzard.
