Small town life
Jun. 26th, 2005 11:16 amYou can tell the LJ'ers in the northeast, since we're all posting about how hot it is.
Got up even earlier today to get my bike ride in, but it was in the 80s by the time I finished.
The area I live in is called the "Triple Cities" which is a complete misnomer since none of the three so-called cities has a population large enough to merit the title. In a ninety minute bike ride, I cycled past a county park, dairy farm, a stable that breeds and trains show horses, the local airport, two golf courses and cut through the parking lot of the only mall for 50 miles in any direction (one story, no food court).
Nice little tour, and there's an ice cream stand two-thirds of the way through, in case I need a sugar fix :-)
Now it's off to Ithaca to try out a restaurant and check out venues for the September conference.
