Monday, Monday

Spent the weekend away, so didn't get any new writing done. But did finish going through all the previously written material to update the index of characters, places and objects. Not as bad as I'd feared-- one character switched names partway through a chapter, I named three sons of Empress Nerissa but according to story notes she has only two, and there was one name that was used as both a location and a family name. Minor cleanup work.

Also spend time with jennifer_dunne working through the logistics of the September conference, and sorting out the proposals we've received in response to our call for speakers. Looks like three sessions in the morning, the luncheon keynote, and then a split track in the afternoon dividing the workshops between an unpublished track (craft topics) and a professional track (publicity, media relations, etc). Plus fitting in the editor/agent appointments.

And in non-fiction writing news the check from BenBella Books for the Farscape anthology arrived last week, and Tee Morris asked if I'd be interested in contributing to the next book in Dragon Moon Press's series on writing fantasy.
