Writing: 2,757 words today. A clue is dropped *ka-thunk*. All but one of the main conspirators have made their appearance, and the final missing link is scheduled to show up sometime in the next chapter.

Games: Friends forced me to take time from writing to play A Ticket To Ride, which is the game where you compete to build railroad lines. It's more fun than I just made it sound. I won once and lost twice. Oddly enough I had the most fun in the final game when I gave up strategy and just decided to screw around and build at random to confuse my opponents. I came in a very close second in that game, and had the added benefit of hearing my opponents curse me as I blocked their routes.

Went to the SUNY library today to browse through their costume books, but didn't find what I needed. Then wandered over to Barnes & Noble. The DK Eyewitness to history books are good but pricey ($15 for hardcovers). B&N has a similar line that they are selling for $5 each in hardcover, but they didn't cover the periods I needed, and although they were very cool I managed to refrain from buying them.

Still need to hit the public library. And then to log on the internet and order books.

Reading "Handbook to life in Ancient Rome" and "The Ancient City".

TBR: Picked up "Seal Island" by Kate Brallier today, and added to TBR stack. This is one of the new Tor paranormal romances.

I'm also technology shopping. The new computer/laptop is on the list, as is the DSL/cable-modem debate. I've decided I need a CD player for the writing room, rather than just loading up the CD player in the living room and cranking the volume to teenager. And an iPod is climbing up my wish list.
