News item of the day: A fundraiser dressed in suit of armour and pulling an 8ft (2m) dragon has completed the London Marathon in a time of eight days and 13 minutes.

The mind boggles, it truly does.

Writing: Forgot to total up the wordcount, but it was a decent weekend of writing, if not spectacular. In related news, I'm using lunch breaks to work on my answers for two author spotlights--one at Writer Unboxed and the second for the Bantam Spectra newsletter. Bantam is now using a "pick questions from this list" approach which I like, but some of the questions are odd. For instance, does anyone really care that I eat oatmeal for breakfast every day?

Me. I care desperately, but it's always seemed so rude to ask... :)

I care. It's good to know that someone else out there has the same breakfast every day. I get teased all the time for my lack of variety.
And hey, oatmeal's supposed to help with cholesterol, right? Stage One of your quest for the gold...

I also get teased for being in a rut, but since I like oatmeal and it's good for me, why should I change? Oatmeal, coffee and a heavenly 15 minutes to read for pleasure every morning. Works for me.
