Received my schedule for WFC today. Apparently the earlier e-mail they'd sent me had bounced. Sadly I now have a conflict with plans I'd made with friends, but that's the way it goes. ETA: looks like things will work out after all, since we're planning an early dinner. Phew!

Ordered postcards of the new bookcover from a company that guarantees I'll have them in hand in plenty of time. Hoping the quality is good, [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne recommended them, so we'll see.

I'm terminally clueless when it comes to graphics programs, so I had to do some groveling to get this done.

pbray: I have a jpeg of my cover and the words I want on the back of the postcard. Can you make an Adobe file out of this so I can upload it to the printer's website?

jennifer_dunne: Yes. Send me your files and bring me pizza.

And the weather forecast for my area says there's a strong possibility of 2-3 inches of snow, with 6+ inches in the higher elevations. Sweet.

Hey! It wasn't *quite* like that. I (rightly) pointed out that there would be questions during the process, and you should be there while I worked on it. YOU were the one who said if you didn't have food first, you'd be liable to snack on my cat. I suggested pizza to save you from a terrible case of hairballs!

*laughs and laughs* I've read this entry about three times now, and every time I get a fit of the giggles. Yes. Send me your files and bring me pizza. I just love that. :)

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!

My story is far better, and it really is what Jennifer meant to say, since when I suggested bringing pizza would expedite this process she replied "I was just going to say that." I merely condensed things for the sake of dramatic tension.

And really, what could be better than a graphics consultant/web page designer who works for pizza or ice cream, depending on the season?

Ice cream? You didn't say anything about ice cream....
