One of those days where you have good intentions, then blink and suddenly the day is gone. Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive.

Writing: 1,110 words today. Not as much as I'd wanted. Crucial information being conveyed, but taking far longer than I'd like. Either I need more caffeine or my characters do.

I have to laugh at comments like 'crucial information being conveyed, but taking far longer than I'd like' since that happens to me as well. It's so frustrating. Occasionally I'll have a big scene all set up which will resolve so quickly and neatly that it will seem almost anticlimatic, but that's rare.

Every once in a while there is a clear reason - I didn't think something through well enough, or a plot issue has been hiding in ambush - but sometimes it's just One of Those Days.

I usually don't see them coming. The ones I gird myself for, they resolve without complaint. It's those Stealth Scenes that do me in.
