New Year's resolutions

One of my New Year's resolutions was to finally get a livejournal account of my own, to make it easier to keep up with my friends' journals.

Taking things slowly. Entering a first test message to see how things work, then I'll need to work on customizing the layout and color schemes. With luck I'll be able to con, err, um, persuade a friend to help.

What's new

Reading:  Hammered by Elizabeth Bear (matociquala )

Watching: Farscape DVDs.  No longer a guilty pleasure, this now counts as research for the Farscape anthology. 

Drinking: Old Speckled Hen Ale-- the beer of the month at one of my favorite hangouts.

Eating: Boston Cream Pie.  A gift from my friend jennifer_dunne 's mother.  We have a co-dependent relationship, she sends me Boston Cream pies and I return the cake box with gourmet cookies and/or chocolates.

Writing: Tonight is the local RWA chapter's annual dinner.  I've scaled back my romance genre activities, but still participate in the local chapter and have found myself volunteered to help organize this year's conference.
