Sie lieben Katzen

Bewitching Kittens was published in the US in 1998 and rapidly sold out its print run, but it continues to crop up in new places. In today's mail I received a copy of the Swiss edition, a lovely hardcover.

Briefly I was confused by the title, since I recognized "Auf weichen Tatzen ins Glück" as the title of the German edition published by Lübbe, however this cover didn't match, and further investigation revealed a new ISBN. A little web surfing and I found out that Weltbild is based in Switzerland, which also explains why their website sells books in francs.

Their online bookstore has both German language editions for sale, if you'd like to compare covers. Neither cover gives a shout out to "Halloween themed Regency set novellas featuring kittens" but they're nearly as cute as the original.

Of course, it might be a tad difficult to sell "Halloween-themed" to countries that don't celebrate Halloween like we do... and who can turn down such adorably cute kitties?
