Snowicane? Can we just stop inventing words to use on those storm alert graphics?

Local media is calling for a snowicane tomorrow-- 12+ inches of snow, with high winds. They've been spectacularly wrong with most of their doom and gloom predictions, but just in case I've stocked up on supplies:

Beer & Wine - Check
Chocolate - Check
Pringles - Check
Tunafish - Check
Milk - Check
Salami, Cheese, Bread = Check

Bring it on!

What, no TP? Out here in Cincy, the three big staples people get when the Great White Death is imminent are TP, milk and bread.

Why people don't load up on flour so they can make bread and other goodies is beyond me...

Yeah, they stab each other for that kind of stuff. My actual grocery run got me in and out of the "7 or less" line, since I was prestocked on alcohol and bread.

Snow and wind! Gee, didn't they used to call that a "blizzard?"

That was the word that came to my mind as well...

You guys are just old-fashioned.

I dont even think I can explain how badly I hate the word "snowacane" already.

It makes my brain go hurty.

You do not embrace the Nuspeak. Room 101 awaits...

So far, it looks a little sparkly-frosty out there, but it doesn't seem to be snowing. It was snowing earlier, but even that wasn't very much.

It's not supposed to start here until the wee hours of the morning, so we'll see....

It snowed about five inches between 6am and 5pm, then picked up...

i heard snownado, not snowicane.
isnt our local news awesome?

the supermarket was hilarious earlier.

P&SB is insisting this is a snowicane. Luckily Wegman's 7 item or less line totally rocks, even as people are crazed. Although apparently a snownado means that all organic fat free milk is gone, in all brands, so I had to settle for 1%.
