Christmas is the time for shopping... for me!

Writing: 1,360 words today as I start a new chapter. I've finally started the funeral scene, but she's not buried yet. Grr.

Reading: Worldwired by Elizabeth Bear, aka matociquala. Looking forward to seeing how she wraps things up.

Shopping: Started shopping for friends & family today. Went to Barnes & Noble and bought six items--three of which were for me.

Avoiding: Copyedits. They're on the agenda for tomorrow.

Met with fellow writers jpsorrow and jennifer_dunne last night, for desserts and games. Desserts were good but I was soundly trounced at all three rounds of Trains. We also talked shop, commiserating over scenes that stretch out endlessly, and the difficulties of putting together good promotional material.
