Hmmm...giving your kid an odd or flat out bizarre name does not make for an easy childhood. I was saddled with something out of the ordinary and prone to mispronunciation and found it quite a trial. (If you are curious about my name, I'll email it to you);-)
On the flip side, I'm glad I wasn't named Julie, Lisa, Jennifer (sorry Ms. Dunne) or Michelle because there were multiples of those names in almost every class I had.
No offense taken. That's why I use "Jennifer" -- because there was always a "Jen" and "Jenny" in all of my classes, too. :-)
But mine's actually a traditional family name. My grandmother was "named" Jenny. (That was the Americanization of her name) And Jennifer goes much better with Dunne than Jolanka. :-)
Perhaps there's something wrong with me, but I think it's kind of cool. But then there's a cruel part of me that wants to land any future-child-of-mine with a wacky name too...

The male version isn't odd at all.
