Blessed be the day job
Blessed be the day job that pays for central a/c. Not a typical feature of most homes in New Hampshire, but a lovely thing to have in a three story townhouse with plenty of southern exposure. Even keeping it set at 77 still provides relief from the 90+ outside.
Many folks are lamenting the heat wave and hoping for a series of storms to cool things off. I'm on a different page-- our town is so saturated after the torrential rains two weeks back such that even the smallest of storm clouds prompts the Weather Service to issue flash flood advisories. I'll take the heat if it means things have a chance to dry out.
Taking today off from work, a comp day to make up for the stretch where I worked 12 days in a row as part of the quarter close. Will likely go exploring today, then planning a movie later on and a gelato run, as one does in this weather.
