How many authors does it take to have a good time?

Yesterday's signing at Waldenbooks was a blast. Store manager fireun and her staff outdid themselves, and fellow signees (signers?) scbutler, Barbara Campbell, and jpsorrow were great fun to hang out with. Customers were already waiting as we were setting up, and for the first hour there wasn't even a lull to check our watches.

In addition to the pic I snarfed above for my first ever Lolcat, fireun has posted more photos on her LJ here.

Fox40 News stopped by to document the festivities. Alas when they were there I was so busy talking with customers that they didn't get a chance to interview me, but they did get a chance to talk to Joshua when he took a break to get more books.

We topped off the signing by a swing by Fat Cat Books so Sam and Barbara could sign books, and then dinner at the Lost Dog. All in all, a great day.

I hope april gave you my condolences - when she said she was not going to do dinner because of the illness, I didn't feel like I could go, Yes, I know you and Josh, but when I only know 50% of the people there, I tend to feel outnumbered and my shyness kicks in.

Yes, I am actually quite shy. Terribly so. But you know, in the bookstore, I am in retail mode.

But I am glad to hear it was crazy and busy. That is awesome.
