Yeah, that was pretty much status quo as I understand. In my case, they thought to spare him several hours of boredom in delivery room by telling him that if he got back in a few hours he'd still be back before I was born.
A far cry from those hyper-involved dads of the 90s who were both labor coaches and videographers....
