Nightly troll report

4,500 words today. For those keeping score at home it was 2K words this morning, lunch, grocery store, 500 words this afternoon, nap, laundry, dinner, and 2K more words before hitting end of chapter.

Anyone else notice a theme here? For a while I had plateaued at 3,750 words, and now I have my second day in a row at 4,500. Be cool if I could keep raising the count.

For the record, the project is not finished. I'd hoped today would be it, but the goal line keeps retreating as I identify more scenes that need to be added. Hopefully soon.

This is the way of all ends of novels I think. The end retreats. It probably sees the ax you're carrying.

Watching your progress... just thought I'd pop in to tell you I just finished The First Betrayal, and one thing I dig about you is the way you creep along real slow for a bit, and then you insert this little thing that makes the radar perk up, and then another. And then stuff happens and you wonder where this whole thing is going, then about where the final third of the book starts, you do this Emeril thing BAM! where stuff just starts flying around and getting crazy. It's wonderful! Right about where the viewpoint changes from Josan to Lucius in midparagraph, and you say HEY! Josan's not the real person here! BRILLIANT!

Anyway, enough boosting your ego. I picked up Scalzi's Old Man's War and that guy can make me laugh so hard it's not even... well... I guess it really is funny. Jennifer can really pick her authors! Something in the water at her office? Bring on Book Two! Is that what you're working on now?
