That time of year

Congratulations to this year's Hugo and Campbell nominees. It's nice to see familiar faces (and talented writers) on the list.

But overall I found the list depressing, as another sign of how little time I have to read. Looking over the nominees, I've read some of the novels, but only one of the novellas, and none of the novelettes or short stories. Trying to do better this year, but I'm never going to have time to read everything I want to.

Some days, it's the little things that launch me into orbit.

Also received in the inbox was an extremely belated thank you from a library director who had sent me a letter begging for copies of my books to add to the collection of his small library. The letter is nearly a year late. A simple email acknowledgment at the time would have been appreciated, but as it is, even the most flowery letter can't make up for the delay.
