There's nothing more ominous than the blue screen of death. Especially on a laptop that has already suffered one complete hard drive meltdown and is now on its second hard drive. As I booted up the laptop and wondered if it would come up, I glanced at the calendar to see how long it has been since my last backup.

Answer was 10 days. A little longer than I'd like, but not dreadful.

Luckily the laptop did indeed come back up, and I ran my backup software as a preventive measure to ward off evil. And updated the reminder file so I'll be reminded to do this at least once a week.
