Baseball

Another sign of spring. The Binghamton Mets (AA) had a successful home opener last night. In the local paper the preview of the game was given equal weight with the news that the refreshment stands would now be serving kielbasa. As well as attempting to make the world's longest spiedie at a home game in May.

Spiedies, beer and salt potatoes. Mmmm, it's baseball season in the Southern Tier. Still a bit cold for my taste with so many night games on the schedule, but once it warms up, I'm there.

Busy weekend of writing ahead. I'd hoped to borrow one of [livejournal.com profile] mizkit's exploding cats, and was saddened to learn they were metaphorical. Ah well, guess I must do it the old-fashioned way.

Well my friend [livejournal.com profile] jennifer_dunne has a cat with projectile fur--her ability to shed has to be seen to be believed. I was hoping you had found a breed of cat that shed words instead. Would be a neat twist on the old alchemist's challenge, changing cat fur into prose.
