When contemplating the AFTER HOURS project, it occurs to me that jpsorrow and my greatest assets are our boundless ignorance and optimism.

A sample exchange from the editorial board:

Joshua: Anthologies are fun, I want to sell more!

Patricia: I've got lots of ideas on how to market this-- let's advertise via beer fans! Let's do signings at microbreweries and wine tastings!

Guardian angel: Um, shouldn't you be thinking about confirming the authors list and making sure everyone writes the best stories they can?

Joshua&Patricia: Pfffft!

In all seriousness, though, I think we make a good team. Joshua is the dreamer, while I'm the OCD-organizing type, so between the two of us, we've got it covered.

Pub crawl! Pub crawl!

My first antho, I did that (two guesses which I was and the first guess doesn't count). Second antho we were both detail-cachers, and it was the simplest project I've ever worked on. So I decded to quit while I was ahead. *grin*

And the only problem with the scavenger hunt pub crawl is that it requires the authors to remain (relatively) sober, and there's just no fun in that!

I second the beer. Hell, if the timing is right, I'd fly out to promote with beer. (Good beer. Not that B*dw**s*r stuff you have over there.)
